This gets aggravated even further when messages are relayed between differing cultures and social settings. Globalization after all, has had a profound impact on the business world of the twenty-first century. It is no longer possible for countries to conduct their businesses in isolation. This paper stresses that a global code of general ethics and basic business communication is more and more being accepted by all countries, regardless of the diversity of their cultures. In this way, the principles of democracy in business have become applicable to all countries from the western United States to the East of the world. Communication theories like the conduit metaphor and the narrative paradigm, provide a useful insight into what goes on in an i neffective communication and how one mess make it more transparent. The theory assumes that successful communication has occurred when the receiver objectively interprets the senders intention and meaning behind the information sent. This implies that information that is put option into the right words will be easily communicable. Any extraneous information that follows the correct message can thus be eliminated as unloved noise. The idea of objective interpretation does not hold ground. Discussed below are some situations that thwart the idea of objective interpretation.
